HUNSTANTON

Hunstanton is a traditional Victorian seaside resort with a beautiful sandy Blue Flag beach, and actually faces West, giving lovely sunsets over The Wash.  There is so much to do here for all ages and tastes.  Families will love the fantastic beach with its clear shallow waters, and the attractions along the South Promenade including the Sealife Centre (which is open all year round), the new Pirate crazy golf, Fun Fair, boat trips to see the seals and pony rides on the beach.  The town centre has a selection of shops and an internet café.  For the active visitors there are tennis courts, cycles for hire, golf courses and a bowling alley.

 

SURROUNDING AREA

The countryside in this part of Norfolk is really pretty and the coastline is fantastic.  Inland are lovely villages such as Burnham Market with its unusual gift shops and fine restaurants.  There are also pretty villages along the coast as well as several good pubs, opportunities to take the children crabbing or kite flying, and plenty of good walks.  Royal Sandringham is only a 10 minute drive from Hunstanton with its pretty country park, and it is possible to tour parts of the house at certain times.  Also close by is Park Farm in Snettisham and the Norfolk Lavender Mill in Heacham.
